About Etching the Path

Etching the Path is monthly E-Magazine that aims in providing the legal information to the legal fraternity. The objective of ETP is to provide the opportunity to legal fraternity and to promote the legal research.

About the Opportunity

ETP invites the submissions for Issue 12 of its Monthly E-Magazine. The entries are open for any social legal issue and can be submitted in the form of:

  1. Short Research Article: 1200-1800 words
  2. Case Commentaries: 1000-1500 words

NOTE: The above word limit is excluding the footnotes/references.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. The submission should be made only in Word File (PDFs or any other format will lead to disqualification of submission)
  2. Font:
  3. Style: Time New Roman
  4. Size: 12pts
  5. Line Spacing: 1.5
  6. Proper reference and footnotes should be used. (Bluebook 20th Edition)
  7. The submission should be unpublished, if the blog is found to be published elsewhere, then it will lead to disqualification
  8. The file should be named with the author/s name.
  9. Plagiarism should not exceed the limit of 20%

National Blog Writing Competition by Etching the Path: Register by 25/10/2020

About the Blog Writing Competition

Etching the Path invites your submissions for the 1st National Blog Writing Competition.
Register by: October 25th, 2020
Submit by: November 1st, 2020

Theme

The submission should deal with a relevant/contemporary issue concerning law or policy.

Objective

To encourage and provide opportunities for research to the students having passion to write and research over the legal issues.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students pursuing UG/PG (Law) and any research scholar in India.

Registration & Submission

  1. The registration fee for the competition is INR 80/-.[Single Authorship] and INR 120/- [Co-Authorship]
  2. The students shall submit their manuscripts by filling an online form.
  3. The last date of registration is October 25th, 2020
  4. The last date for submissions is November 01, 2020.

Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  1. Novelty of the topic
  2. Depth of analysis
  3. Originality & cogency of arguments
  4. Structure of the article
  5. Feasibility & Creativity of suggestions and references used in support.

General Guidelines

  1. The submission shall be made in the form of an MS Word file (.doc/.docx) in English Language only.
  2. The word limit for the submission shall be 1200 – 1500 words (excluding citations).
  3. Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of two authors.
  4. Plagiarized content or usage of any plagiarism removing tool will invite direct rejection.
  5. The name of the word file has to be the title of the manuscript.
  6. Multiple or incomplete submissions shall not be considered.

Formatting Guidelines

  1. The submission must be word-processed and in Times New Roman.
  2. The main text should be in font size 12 and footnotes in font size 10.
  3. A 1.5 line gap must be maintained between all paragraphs and headings.
  4. Citation style to be used: Bluebook 20th Edition.
  5. All hyperlinks must be in black colour and underlined.

Etching the Path-Campus ambassador Program

Etching the Path brings to you all its campus ambassador program.

BRIEF OF THE PROGRAM:

The Campus Ambassador is a person who builds a relation between the organisation and the Campus. The basic activities involved in this program is the promotion of the organisation at all platforms. The program shall aim in building the confidence among the campus ambassadors and also to build a friendly relation with the outside world.

TASKS INVOLVED IN THE CAMPUS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

  1. Social Media Marketing
    The Campus Ambassadors at Etching the Path are suppose to promote the poster of Etching the Path at all social media which includes, Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram and Twitter.
  2. In College Promotion
    The Campus Ambassadors at Etching the Path should spread an awareness in their college about the Etching the Path, they need to do in-college promotion which includes displaying the poster and banners in the college, introducing their mates with the Etching the Path.

PERKS OF BEING THE CAMPUS AMBASSADOR AT ETCHING THE PATH

  1. The Campus ambassador will be able to develop skills such as leadership, public speaking etc.
  2. The program will enhance your resume.
  3. Discounts on the events of Etching the Path will be given to campus ambassadors.
  4. Membership opportunity will be offered to the Campus Ambassadors.
  5. Minimal time of 9-10 hours a week is required for work as the Campus Ambassador at Etching the Path.

CONDITIONS APPLICABLE FOR THE PROGRAM

  1. The position is tenured, part-time, voluntary and unpaid,
  2. The commitment of minimum Two months is required as the Campus ambassador at Etching the Path.
  3. Certificate of completion will be awarded on successful completion of tenure as well as the duties assigned.
